When I first started blogging, I wrote a lot. Some of it was good, but some of it wasn't as good. I wanted to be honest with what I wrote, to share about how I felt about some things, to tell about what was going on in my life. However, when someone is so open to the entire world, there are risks. Namely, my future students could search for me online, find my blog, and discover far more than they need to know about me.
Unfortunately, my little use of my last name on blog hasn't helped much. In my own google searches of my name, my blog and name have been linked together several times.
I thought of two possible solutions to this problem. One solution to this problem would be to go through all my blog posts since 2004 and decide which ones were safe to leave up and which ones weren't. That would take forever.
The other solution--to remove the original Princess in Writing blog from it's world wide web presence.
I really wasn't so keen on the second idea. But, if you have been visiting my blog in the past months, you would notice that I haven't been posting very much. I've been busy, lost interest, and have been more cautious about what I want to say to the public. And, in the meantime, my blog and all its contents remained up.
So, I have decided to make a change. A new Princess in Writing blog has begun. And it will be a good change. The blog will have a new look, with a new design, links to different types of posts, and more updated links to other websites. I will still post. I will even post some old posts I really want back up here. I will seek to write on here with a newer, more intentional purpose (development in process). And, if I still have readers, I hope they will be edified by what they find here.
